Fantastic novel

Oddly enough, I actually read this novel before I read Ayiti and Ayiti Continued. You can do the same but I HIGHLY recommend that you start with Ayiti and Ayiti Continued. You'll probably read all three of these books within a week. They go by that quickly. I loved reading from Jude's perspective. I'm so glad Vacirca decided to write his side of the story because it gave the entire story a fuller perspective. I enjoyed reading about the tension between him and his mother. To be honest, there were times when both his parents got on my nerves (and this is coming from a Nigerian American with parents straight from Nigeria). I know black parents don't play - especially African parents - but sometimes his parents were too much for me. All the same, I appreciated his family and how they shaped him and I loved how much he loved Ayiti. The moment when he first lays eyes on her almost had me tearing up.
The way that he processes things and takes situations in as a mature believer, left me yearning for a deeper relationship with Christ - when I wasn't yearning for the character to be mine for real ;)
As usual, I recommend this novel and every other one associated with this series. You will not regret getting it. I look forward to the next installment.

What a man!!!

What could you say about Jude? He is any woman's idea of the ideal man. He is real, he is raw and he is right. The book teaches you that when you let God pick your ideal man, He will not disappoint. It is a long read but it reads so fast that you hardly notice.

There isn't enough stars here! The third book in the Ayiti series does not disappoint!
Vacirca Vaughn draws the reader into the story, I felt like I was right there in the middle
of everything! When is the next book ready? :)
