About the Author
The author has a BA in Psychology from UC Berkeley; a MA in Research Psychology from San Francisco State U; a Masters in Theology from Fuller Theological Semniray; and a PhD from Fuller Graduate School of Psychology. He has been a fellow and a clinical instructor with the Department of Psychiatry, Harvard Medical School; an associate psychologist with Massachusetts General Hospital; a chief psychologist at the Chelsea Health Center, MGH. At the present, he serves as a professor of Psychology and Pastoral Counseling at Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary; and works in private practice in South Hamilton, MA. He teaches also at the Israel College of the Bible in Netanya, Israel. This book is a monumental contribution to the intersecting fields of counseling and psychotherapy from a Christian perspective. It is the most comprehensive text available originally written in Spanish.The author offers a wealth of information, helpful conceptualizations and illustrations, and practical guidance stemming from his rich professional experience and careful research. It is a timely gift for practicing therapists, clinical supervisors and, especially, for professors and students in the areas of Christian and Pastoral Counseling, and Spiritual Care. I recommend it enthusiastically without reservations!
