This is the best book ever!! Very true!! The Blueprint: Success Is A State of Mind has opened many doors for me and my business. After reading the first three chapters I created a screensaver made up of $100 bills an looked at it throughout the day while working at home and at work and money was coming into my life through channels I never thought of before. I was attracting money to me through the universe and my new mind set. Lana sent a signed copy of her book to my nephew "Juggie" and he wanted to share it with me and it truly has worked for me. I don't watch any negative news and I try to stay positive and on a level of "High Frequency" to attract good health, wealth and happiness.

Ken Kollman is Professor in the Department of Political Science and Research Professor in the Center for Political Studies in the Institute for Social Research at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. His research and teaching focus on political parties, elections, lobbying, and federal systems. He also regularly teaches the introductory American politics course at the University of Michigan. In addition to numerous articles, he has written The Formation of National Party Systems: Federalism and Party Competition in Canada, Great Britain, India, and the United States (with Pradeep Chhibber), and Outside Lobbying: Public Opinion and Interest Group Strategies.

Thorough Book

This book is so thorough that when I read it I didn't feel like I needed to show up to class because the prof didn't cover half of it but tested on all of it.

I'm not condoning skipping class!! I am saying that this might be a book you want as reference after you take this class.

Amazing Book

This is an amazing book. History is interwoven with so many intimate cultural details in such a way that you know the author must be completely familiar with the Arab and Western cultures. I especially benefited from the "red flag" issues or themes that were reinforced through each major period of history. Although this is in no way a Christian themed writing, being a Christian myself, I could not help but think of the prophecy in Genesis 16:12 as I was reading the book.

This is a really great book in better understanding the "Arab Psyche." This book gives readers a better understanding of the emotions and perceptions of Arabs. The author also does a great job at adding historical events that shaped the Middle East and are vital in its understanding. Overall, great book!

Sabine Roehr is Assistant Professor of Philosophy at New Jersey City University. She is the author of Hubert Fichte: Poetische Erkenntnis. Montage, Synkretismus, Mimesis (1985) and A Primer on German Enlightenment (1995).

Christopher Janaway is Professor of Philosophy at the University of Southampton. His most recent books include Schopenhauer: A Very Short Introduction (2002) and Beyond Selflessness: Reading Nietzsche's Genealogy (2007). His most recently edited collections include The Cambridge Companion to Schopenhauer (Cambridge, 2000) and Better Consciousness: Schopenhauer's Philosophy of Value (2009, co-edited with Alex Neill). He is General Editor of The Cambridge Edition of the Works of Schopenhauer series, for which he has translated The Two Fundamental Problems of Ethics (2009) and co-translated The World as Will and Representation, Volume 1 (2010).

easily worth your time

In here is Schopenhauer's brief history of Western philosophy. Blows away Russell's scribbling, easily! This Parerga is probably the most substantial thing written in philosophy.

In this parerga, Arthur Schopenhauer wrote an essay arguing that, well, most people who get a degree in, say, philosophy, are not philosophers. They are like bureaucrats who get a little office room, as a temp worker, and work their way up the ladder of bureaucracy. Now imagine if the common man or woman started worshipping the bureaucrats because they knew no better? The higher up the rung the bureaucrat is, the more heaps of praise and glory is given to this bureaucrat and the bureaucrat becomes the only authority and the common men and women, who know no better, because they are fed documentaries and books, listen to the opinions of the bureaucracy, and so a momentum builds up.

Schopenhauer writes that a true philosopher, one who's never earned a piece of paper in the machine of bureaucracy, will be ignored by the masses, who worship bureaucrats and by the bureaucrats, who wear stolen clothes.

Schopenhauer argued that because a bureaucrat has a Phd in philosophy, the bureaucrat concludes that Plato was a philosopher, and, therefore, the bureaucrat is now Plato!!! We see this sort of thing all of the time. Schopenhauer wrote this in the 19th Century. It is much worse today.

I had this book recommended to me on Goodreads by another blogger who knows my m/m tastes. I had to admit that I was curious about the premise on this one...a sex surrogate and a wheelchair bound author. It was unusual enough to pique my curiosity. That along with the rec meant that I slid this book to the top of my TBR pile, ahead of the other 1400 books that I currently own that I haven't read. O.O (yeah, I know...*sigh* But you all and authors keep telling me about such great books! What's a girl to do?)

But anyway...yes, this was a fantastic recommendation. And a lot of that is simply because the heroes are so unlikely, but wow...I fell in love with them

First let's talk about Michael...he's a sex surrogate and a nurse. Gah...if there is another character out there with a purer heart, I don't know of him. This guy is pure emotion...pure empathy...pure caring. He cares about people so much. That's why he's a sex surrogate. He helps guys who can't have sex otherwise through mental or physical issues that hinder them. He is so incredibly empathetic, you can't help but fall in love with him. But he's also so incredibly lonely. His sex surrogacy...is just that...a therapy for his patients. It's not for him and has no emotional attachment for him. This guy wants and needs someone to connect to on a personal level so badly. My heart just hurt for him.

Then there's James. He was in India as a child and got infected with polio. His mother abandoned him because of it. As a result, he's never really had a relationship. He has such a mental block about his useless legs....he doesn't want ANYONE to see them...which doesn't work real well if he ever wants to have sex. He lives through his books and stories and is truly a complete recluse. But his book sales have been bleak so his agent is pushing him to do more personal promo...something he HATES. But he meets Michael at one of these events. Michael has been in love with James since he read his first book at 16. Michael has such a pure heart, he doesn't think twice about the wheelchair when he sees James. It's James who has the issue with it.

This is such a sweet book and incredible romance. I loved reading it and watching these two guys connect. It was truly beautiful. The sex surrogacy story line was interesting and I enjoyed that aspect and getting to know Michael's patients. But as an author, I really enjoyed James' story too. Authors tend to be naturally introverted people and I definitely connected to him as a character. (I hate, hate, hate signings. I would so much rather sit in a quiet corner and observe the world.)

This is the third book in this series and I want to go back and read the first two. It absolutely and completely works as a stand alone, but I'm fascinated by the clinic and it sounds like the other characters there are featured at least in the first book in the series.

I definitely recommend this one though!

I have read three books this year so far that have broken me... ripped out my heart and made me want to reach into the book and hug every character.

The first was Glory Lands by Vastine Bondurant, the second Hainted from Jordan L Hawk, and the third is the latest book from Eli Easton, the third book in her Seattle series, The Mating of Michael.

I read this in one go. I had to do a mum-taxi run half way through and I was gutted, and all I could think about was this book every second I was out. Michael is an angel, subtle, and beautifully drawn. James is so damaged inside, from abandonment and other issues. Michael has an extraordinary ability to see inside people and he is so gentle, and exactly right for James.

I adored the science fiction story woven into the story which made me well up on several occasions. Love the misunderstandings, and the resolution, and the secondary characters, and the final sentence. I just loved it all. It was a stunning and beautiful book.

I can not recommend this series, or in fact this author, enough.

Beautiful -- made me cry

This is the first novel I have read by Eli Easton, and it certainly won't be the last.

I will not rehash the plot, but this novel dealt with some difficult subjects so beautifully, with good taste and a deft understanding, it blew me away. Who knew science fiction, sexual surrogacy, and a search for true love by two beautiful and vulnerable men could really be this good to read. And the sex scenes? Just right.

Wonderful story, wonderful characters, including the secondary clients. A great interweaving of plot lines. And yes, it touched me to the point of tears.

I was getting so tired of cookie cutter m/m romance -- this book reminded me that there are some fabulous writers in the field. Kudos to the author. *Applause*
